2013 Formula 1 Malaysian Grand Prix: No Rain!

Ah yes, the Malaysian Grand Prix is upon us. In 2012 Fernando Alonso was able to guide his ill-equipped and under-engineered Ferrari to a race win, due in large part to the buckets (buckets) of rain pelting down on the Equatorial track.

For the 2013 iteration of the race, qualifying was made more interesting with some wetness interfering with the final round of the session as drivers scrambled to put down a quick lap with the intermediate (green) Pirelli tires.

Based off of our incredibly accurate weather predictions, we predict NO RAIN for the race. (You heard it here first).

The grid order for the race, which airs at the fantastic hour of 3:30 AM (Eastern Time) in the United States on the NBC Sports Network, is as follows:
  1. Vettel
  2. Massa
  3. Alonso
  4. Hamilton
  5. Webber
  6. Rosberg
  7. Räikkönen
  8. Button
  9. Sutil
  10. Perez
  11. Grosjean
  12. Hulkenberg
  13. Ricciardo
  14. Guitierrez
  15. di Resta
  16. Maldonado
  17. Vergne
  18. Bottas
  19. Bianchi
  20. Pic
  21. Chilton
  22. van der Garde
After qualifying, Kimi was given a three grid spot penalty for "impeding" Rosberg. Yeah, ok. So he'll be starting 10th.

So here are my predictions based for the top 10 tomorrow, based off of qualifying, random guesses, and how I feel right now:
  1. Alonso
  2. Vettel
  3. Raikkonen
  4. Massa
  5. Hamilton
  6. Webber
  7. Button
  8. Sutil
  9. Rosberg
  10. di Resta

Here's hoping for a good race. We may, or may not, have a write up tomorrow after the race. Enjoy the race!
